ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....fitbah...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

It's safe to say that this was not one of United's better performances with players sleepwalking through much of the game save for the opening 10 minutes. All that was missing was an Everly Brothers track to underscore the game.

Let's say it wasn't one of those super-charged European nights at Old Trafford. Indeed the club were still trying to flog tickets hours before kick-off...on the plus side empty seats were able to be used as makeshift beds.

A tired Romelu Lukaku didn't enjoy the best of games with nothing coming off for him. Legend has it that he sleeps he dreams of executing the perfect step-over.

There was one player who seemed awake to the "action", Valencia's Goncalo Guedes who proceeded to put on a shooting masterclass. David de Gea was busy spending his time dreaming of Juan Mata's blog.

Rumour has it that Marcus Rashford hit the woodwork with a free kick but that's an unsubstantiated claim at of time of writing.

Still Jose survives for another game...another dreadfully underwhelming game. It remains to be seen what comes first...his dismissal or a Goncalo Guedes goal. Time will tell but for now, night night.
