Mourinho's side faced a tricky test at West Ham but the United manager had a plan to bring back all three-points. Launch in to a Wham inspired musical number.

Jose picked a bold/baffling (delete as appropriate) starting XI employing current "Manager's POTY" Scott McTominay as a centre-back alongside Chris Smalling & Victor Lindelof. The bold/baffling (delete as appropriate) experiment lasted a whole 5 minutes before being found out.

And West Ham doubled their advantage through Yarmolenko with some help from Nemanja Matic & the unfortunate Victor Lindelof. It's safe to say that United just couldn't "Do It Right". The "IT" being football.

In between West Ham's first & second goals Lukaku went close to scoring for United but the luckless Belgian saw his header hit the post instead of the back of the net. It's been that kind of season for him.

At halftime Jose let his feelings known to the group. You could say he "rapped" them all...or not.

It's the hope that kills you as one observed & United got a lifeline through striker & convenient statistic, Marcus Rashford.

But given United's fragility under Jose in recent games the inevitable happened and West Ham found a third with the visitors treating defending as an interpretive art form.

So United slump to a third league defeat of the season & have managed just 10 points in 7 matches. Seems like the end is nigh. It's enough to give Jose the jitterbugs.
