First thing's first...THE BOSS IS BACK!
It was a typical-ish start from United who were marveling at Wolves' version of "joga bonito". The visitors had come to play.
Once again David de Gea had to make a few smart stops. In doing so he leveled up & triggered his mutant gene growing a pair of new arms in the process. Handy one may argue.
But United took the lead. Paul Pogba, with a deft touch, set up Fred (Fre-jee) who scored his first goal for the club. Somewhere in Souness Land, Graeme was feeling worried. *Read Fre-jee's dialogue to the tune of the Flintstones' theme
Fred (Fre-jee) nearly doubled his tally forcing Rui Patricio to make a smart save just before the end of the first half.
The second half was a bit...underwhelming. Paul Pogba fearing for Souness' sanity & well-being selflessly took it upon himself to provide the angry pundit with a talking point. That said there were more than a few opportunities to prevent Joao Moutinho's strike
Alexis Sanchez & Romelu Lukaku didn't really impact the game as much as anyone would have liked.
The game finished all square & the visitors were worth their point. Jose Mourinho took being the second best Portuguese coach at Old Trafford with good grace.
Forget the score though, the most important result is this...THE BOSS IS BACK!
