BADLY DRAWN MATCH REPORT #46 BARCELONA vs MANCHESTER UNITED

United went into the match just the one goal down so there was some hope & then that hope was given to Ashley Young.

United's preparation for the game was...let's say...somewhat worrying. David de Gea has been suffering a dip in form so he was doing everything, emphasis on EVERYTHING, to try and get back on track.

United did have early opportunities to get back into the tie. At the other end of the pitch VAR did United a favour but that was as good as it got for Ole's team at the Nou Camp.

Of course it didn't help giving the best player in the world a free pass to do what he wanted.

Ernesto Valverde left nothing chance sending Luis Suarez back in time in order to make David de Gea's body to fade from existence.

There was enough time for Barcelona to score a worldie too. It was not United's night & the gulf in class was apparent.

So United have been dumped out of this year's Champions League. If Ole didn't have a mountain to climb before he surely has one now.
