BADLY DRAWN MATCH REPORT #43 WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS vs MANCHESTER UNITED

United returned to Molineux to attempt to right a few wrongs after being dumped out of the FA Cup by Wolves. Little did they know that they'd end up being part of Premier League history.

This time around United were determined not to start off cold against their hosts.

United took the game to Wolves initially in the opening minutes. Lukaku could & should have given his team the lead before Scott McSauce scored his 1st senior goal for the club. In truth United could have been 3-0 up in the opening 20 minutes...alas...

United's defense decided to pay tribute to the goal they conceded against Burnley at Old Trafford with DDG playing the role of Phil Jones & Frejee cast as Andreas Pereira. Needless to say Wolves capitalised & leveled the game.

United struggled but that was a mere sideshow to the real attraction. Ashley Young knowing that history beckoned made a reckless challenge having already been booked...Mike Dean saw his moment in the spotlight & seized it with aplomb

There was still time for a comical own goal too featuring a DDG masterclass in civil disobedience goalkeeping whilst comedy duo Smalling & Jones combined to demonstrate that they're head & shoulders above their peers in the art of hapless defending

United once again left Molineux empty handed and now face Barcelona next in the Champions League We leave though with a tribute to the match's real hero, Michael (Mike) Dean!
