United went into game in good spirits after THAT comeback but this was a match too far, unfortunately.

In fairness to Unai Emery, he planned meticulously predicting all possible events & outcomes the game could have to offer

Emery did spoil Mystic Timmy's prediction though, the spoilsport. The Arsenal head coach ended Timmy's remarkable one-match spookily accurate prediction run

United did create clear cut chances but failed to convert. Granit Xhaka clearly learning the finer points of cricket decided to chance his arm...foot...and caught David de Gea out with a long range strike. United responded by creating & missing presentable opportunities.

Arsenal got the vital second goal when Alexandre Lacazette was *ahem* "fouled" in the box by Fred according to maverick interpreter of football law, John Moss. Aubameyang converted to give the home side a two goal cushion which they held on to.

There was a notable absence from United's line up & he'll only be determined to take back what's rightfully his. A first away defeat for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but at least he won the xG score which is really what football is all about.
