It was Ole-ball vs Sarri-ball with a spot in the quarterfinal at stake. Sarri was finding himself under increasing pressure given recent results

Now philosophy is deeply rooted in Roman & Italian history. Some of the greatest minds originated from there & when Sarri came to Chelsea his ideas were meant to usher in a new golden age of football

To be fair Sarri tried to impart his wisdom to his Chelsea team to varying degrees of success

Course when pitted against Ole-ball, Sarri's philosophy was found a little wanting. Turns out Norwegian football philosophy is quite pleasing to the eye & effective to boot

United ruthlessly raced into a two-goal lead in a ground where they've enjoyed very little success. If anything Ole's side were making themselves at home at Stamford Bridge, it was all rather comfortable

That fact wasn't lost on part-time philosopher & full-time chimney, Maurizio Sarri

United won an FA Cup tie at Chelsea for the first time since the treble season whilst Sarri was left to a fate worse than death or unemployment...an unhinged internet rant. Thank goodness for Ole-ball, right?
