The Manchester Derby was alway going to be a tough affair but things became all the more difficult when Paul Pogba was withdrawn from the game due to injury.

ree
Indeed, poor Jose was down to the bare bones with his midfield options. If only there was an expensive recruit or a talented academy player he could have called upon to solve his dilemma.

ree
United started against City with customary caution & it worked for all of 12 minutes. Not quite what Jose was looking for in his 300th Premier League match in charge.

ree
But United have developed a habit recently of overturning deficits so perhaps it was all going to plan. Perhaps...

ree
But two minutes into the second half the newly-coiffed Sergio Aguero doubled City's lead. Attitude FC's Anthony Martial pulled a goal back from the spot, foregoing Paul Pogba's time consuming shuffle. Martial has now scored a goal in five consecutive Premier League games.

ree
But then City put together a 44-pass move that ended United's hope of getting anything from the game. Nemanja Matic may have been a touch responsible for City's third goal.

ree
But then again, who pays attention to statistics?
