BADLY DRAWN MATCH REPORT #14 JUVENTUS vs MANCHESTER UNITED

Jose's side traveled to Italy to face, arguably, the best club side in Europe, Juventus. The match itself happened to fall on United's overworked goalkeeper, David de Gea.

The occasion was celebrated by Ed Woodward who tried to give De Gea a club contra...I mean, birthday card.

Getting a result away to Juventus was always going to be difficult but he did receive a birthday gift from a rather unusual source.

The crossbar and post were as good as their word. Nemanja Matic was excited to celebrate De Gea's birthday too, perhaps a little too eager.

However Juventus broke the deadlock as Cristiano Ronaldo hammered home a great goal after latching on to Leonardo Bonucci's pass. Victor Lindelof, who had been playing reasonably, gamely tried to keep up with C.Ron employing a new running technique.

But in recent weeks United have shown a growing resolve & resilience. Jose Mourinho, to his credit, made a couple of game changing substitutions bringing on Juan Mata aka Johnny Kill & Marouane Fellaini.

And United achieved another come from behind victory, an unlikely one at that too. Martin Keown did get a touch over-excited about the result though.
