Things weren't rosy at Old Trafford in the run-up to the Spurs game as various factions connected to United were sniping via the media in one way or the other. Still it's more entertaining watch than that fly-on-the-wall doco done by those other chaps.
Jose tried to shake things up making six changes to the team that lost to Brighton. It was a meticulously planned selection that ended up with Smalling & Jones at the heart of the back line.
And he sent out the group to play in a 3-5-2 formation. Opposition boss, Mauricio Pochettino fiendishly sent out a cohesive football team in response.
United started the game brightly & should have taken the lead through Romelu Lukaku. At half-time the score was still 0-0.
Come the second half the United that fans feared and fretted reappeared. Still it allowed one & all to feast on the Smalling/Jones show. Jose though had a plan...
It ended up 0-3 to Spurs. It was a chastening defeat but Jose was on hand to applaud off each and every fan at Old Trafford.
